Cando Terms & Conditions

  1. Introduction

These User Terms and Conditions (this “Agreement”), is a legal agreement between you (the private users and business users) and Candor AB, a Swedish tech company (“Cando”), which guides your use of and access to the Application or the App (as defined below) and the Website (as defined below).

If you don’t want to be bound by this Agreement, please do not access or use the Application and/or Website. Cando may terminate, without notice, your access to the Application and/or Website for failure to comply with this Agreement.

By creating an account in the Application and/or on the Website, you accept this Agreement and agree to be bound by each of its terms. You also represent and warrant to Cando that: You are at least sixteen years of age and have the authority to enter into this Agreement (either on your own behalf or by having a parent or legal guardian agreeing on your behalf) This Agreement is binding and enforceable against you.

To the extent an individual is accepting this Agreement on behalf of an entity, such individual has the right and authority to agree to all of the terms set forth herein on behalf of such entity.

You have read and understand Cando’s Privacy Policy, the terms of which are posted at the Website and incorporated herein by reference (the “Privacy Policy”).  

  • Cando’s offer

The Cando service is a networking, sales and advertising channel via which sellers offer secondhand or new fashion items that are produced through sustainable practices to registered users. The Cando service allows users to find, learn about and shop while earning rewards points for their participation. On the Cando app users share tips, hacks and information about the growing field of sustainability to help and inspire others. Through our service we are creating a community of aware fashion shoppers who actively want to improve their purchase decisions in-line with their sustainability concerns and reduce their carbon emissions.

In these terms of Cando service, the term “User” refers to private and business users collectively.
The term “Private users” refers to users who enter into this Agreement (Terms and Conditions for Users) with Cando are allowed to use the Cando Website ( and Cando app for private use. Private users may get access to certain sales features (e.g. “Activate closet” access, “Stylist” access, Product post, product feed, checkout access etc) on entering the Seller agreement with us after mandatory screening by Cando. 

The term “Business users” refers to users who are registered companies, with an organisation/company name, company identifier, VAT registration and individuals with VAT registration. Business users who enter into this Agreement (Terms and Conditions for Users) with Cando are allowed to use the Cando Website ( and Cando app for Business. Business users may get access to sales features (e.g. Product post, product feed, Auction, checkout etc) on entering the Seller agreement with us after mandatory screening by Cando.

The term “Seller” (collectively) refers to business users e.g. secondhand businesses (operating online and/or through physical stores), sustainable fashion brands (operating online and/or through physical stores) but it may also refer to private users wanting to sell their own items. Sellers who enter into an Agreement (The Seller Terms and Conditions) with Cando are allowed to use the Cando Website ( and certain sales features (e.g. Product post, product feed, Auction, checkout etc) only after mandatory screening by Cando.

The aim of this intermediation service is to connect people, products, brands and secondhand to exchange ideas in order to inspire a more sustainable lifestyle while making it easy to find various sustainable items. Our service gives Sellers the opportunity to sell pre-used, vintage, recycled, upcycled or fashion items produced through sustainable practices to registered users. The Cando service also allows private Sellers to gain extra income by finding new owners for their old fashion items.

  • Purpose

The purpose of this Agreement is to explain the terms and conditions under which Cando will let you use the Application through your mobile device and/or use the Website (collectively, the “Purpose“).

As also mentioned in other parts of this Agreement, Cando does not have any control over any user, seller or other third parties, and therefore is not liable or responsible for any actions taken or supposed to be taken by any such third party.

  • Audience & user groups

Cando is intended for use by people who are 16 years of age or older, and persons under the age of 16 are prohibited from creating Cando accounts.

You affirm that you are either more than 16 years of age, or an emancipated minor, or possess legal parental or guardian consent, and are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, obligations, affirmations, representations, and warranties set forth in these Terms, and to abide by and comply with these Terms. In addition, you affirm that you have not been previously suspended or removed from the Services and do not have more than one Cando account.

Cando accounts for private users are personal and must be owned by a physical person. Firms and organizations have to use a Cando account for Business. 

We may, in our sole discretion, refuse to offer the Services to any person or entity. We may, without notice and compensation, and in our sole discretion, terminate your right to use the Services, or any portion thereof, and block or prevent your future access to and use of the Services or any portion thereof. We do not offer any guarantee about the availability or use of the Services.

  • User content

The Services consist of interactive features and areas that allow private and business users to create, post, transmit and/or store content, including but not limited to photos, video, text, graphics, items or other materials (collectively called "User Content"). You understand that your User Content may be viewable by others. You agree that you are solely responsible for your User Content and that Cando is not responsible or liable for any User Content. While we are not obligated to do so, we reserve the right, and have absolute discretion, to review, screen and delete User Content at any time and for any reason.

We do not claim ownership of any User Content that you post on or through the Services. However, by submitting User Content to Cando, you hereby grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display such User Content in connection with the Services.

We sincerely want to deliver an authentic and honest experience. This is why any advertisements and promotions available on Cando app are strictly from carefully vetted users under our User and/or Seller agreement. This will not only help us support some of the Services through advertising revenue but also provide a better service to those users who hope to find relevant products, brands and secondhand products through Cando app.
You hereby agree that we may place such content on the Service or on, about, or in conjunction with your User Content. The manner, mode, and extent of such advertising and promotions may change in the future. Cando will notify you of any major changes either through Cando app or via email provided during registration.
The Service, or communication you receive while using the Service, will also include links to services from carefully vetted users under our User and/or Seller agreement. You confirm that the conditions and terms for selecting such users is at Cando’s sole discretion. You confirm that Cando does not in any way hold any responsibility or commitments in relation to such user services. Your correspondence and business with users discovered through the service happens solely between you and the third party.

There might be times when the Service, or communication you receive while using the Service, might include links to services from third party services. You confirm that Cando does not in any way hold any responsibility or commitments in relation to such third party services. Your correspondence and business with third party actors discovered through the service happens solely between you and the third party.


  • Cando content

Unless otherwise stated, all materials contained on or within the Services, including, but not limited to, text, graphics, images, code, illustrations, designs, icons, photographs, video clips, and written and other materials (collectively, "Cando Content"), as well as their selection and arrangement, are protected by copyright, trademark, trade dress, patent, and/or other intellectual property laws, and unauthorized use of Cando Content may violate such laws and these Terms. Except as expressly provided in these Terms, Cando does not grant any express or implied rights to use Cando Content. You agree that you will not copy, reproduce, republish, frame, download, transmit, modify, display, reverse engineer, sell, or participate in any sale of, rent, lease, loan, assign, distribute, license, sublicense, or exploit in any way, in whole or in part, Cando Content, the Services or any related software, except as expressly stated in these Terms.

You are hereby granted a limited, non exclusive, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Services and Cando Content. This license is revocable at any time. This license is subject to these Terms and does not include:

  • The distribution, public performance or public display of Cando Content;
  • Modifying or otherwise making any derivative uses of the Services or Cando Content, or any portion thereof;
  • Use of any scraping, data mining, robots or similar data gathering or extraction methods;
  • Downloading (other than page caching) any portion of the Services, Cando Content or any information contained therein, except as expressly permitted on the Services;
  • Accessing the Cando API with an unauthorized or third-party client; and
  • Any use of the Services or Cando Content other than for their intended purposes.

Any use of the Services or Cando Content other than as specifically authorized in these Terms, without the prior written permission of Cando, is strictly prohibited and will terminate the license to use Cando granted in these Terms.

  • Intellectual property

We respect people's & business’s rights to their User Content, and we expect you to do the same. By adding User Content to the Service you warrant that you own the User Content posted by you on or through the Service, or otherwise have the right to grant the rights and licenses set forth in these terms. You warrant that the posting and use of your User Content on or through the Service does not violate, misappropriate or infringe the rights of any third party, including, without limitation, privacy rights, publication rights, copyrights, trademark and/or intellectual property rights. You agree to pay for all royalties, fees, and any other demands owned by reason of User Content you post on or through the Service. Cando requires you to respect the User content of other private & business users. If you repeatedly infringe other people's or business’s intellectual property rights, we will disable your account when appropriate.

  • Feedback

You agree that any feedback, suggestions, ideas or other information or materials regarding Cando or the Services that you provide, whether by email or otherwise ("Feedback"), are non-confidential and shall become the sole property of Cando. We will be entitled to the unrestricted use and dissemination of such Feedback for any purpose, commercial or otherwise, without acknowledgment or compensation to you. You waive any rights you may have to the Feedback (including any copyrights or moral rights). We appreciate hearing from users, but please do not share your ideas with us if you expect to be paid or want to continue to own or claim rights in them.

You further agree to abide by any third-party terms that apply when posting reviews of Cando, including the App Store Terms of Service and/or the Google Play Terms of Service.

  • Cando service

    • Registration or Sign up

To use the buying and ordering service and the features made available through the Application and Website, private people are required to complete a registration process to create a private account with Cando (“Private Account”).

When you create your private account you are given access to use Cando’s software platform made available through Cando’s mobile application (“Application” or “App” or “Cando App”) and/or Cando’s website located at (the ” Website” or “Cando website”), Cando’s loyalty program (the “Cando Impact points”), during the Term (as defined below) solely for the Purpose.
In order to create your Private Account, it is necessary to provide personal information, which includes but is not limited to, your name and contact information.

To earn, use “Cando badges” and the features made available through the Application and Website, business users are required to complete a registration process to create a Business account with Cando (“Business Account”).

When you create your business account you are given access to use Cando’s software platform made available through Cando’s mobile application (“Application” or “App” or “Cando App for business”) and/or Cando’s website located at (the ” Website” or “Cando website”), during the Term (as defined below) solely for the Purpose.

In order to create your Business Account, it is necessary to provide company information, which includes but is not limited to, company name, organization identifier, VAT number, contact information and payment information.

Creating your Account offers you easy access to see inspiration posts, fashion items from other private and business users, your communication with businesses and /or private users and edit your personal preferences. 

How Cando may store and make use of the personal information provided by you when registering for an Account and/or using the Cando app and the Website is set out in the Privacy Policy.


  • Supply

Cando works with local and overseas sellers to offer you the opportunity to purchase and pick up fashion items that are previously used or produced with sustainable practices at the core of values. In the “list view” in the Cando app, all business sellers are displayed in a list view.
In the “search” view, you can search for products from private users, business users and secondhand stores along with a “Local” filter that shows products and businesses in your area. 

Sellers are provided information about order and order confirmation through their Cando business account and email.


  1. Information about a product or service

Through the App you are presented with a description of the fashion item so that you as a buyer or user will get as good information about size, production, seller location, carbon emissions, price etc. The Cando service is not the provider or the producer of the items listed in the service nor is Cando responsible for the information given about each fashion item. The provider/seller of the fashion items is responsible for all the information regarding the fashion item. Would you have any questions regarding given information about an item, Cando directs you to the seller.


  • Order and order confirmation

As a logged in Cando user, you can place an order for a fashion item by business sellers through the App. After placing the order you will get an order confirmation via the app and in email provided to us during registration or Sign up.

For placing orders on items by other private users, you can use the Cando app for contacting the seller and coordinating communication regarding item availability, purchase, payment, order confirmation and delivery.


  • Payment of the order

You pay for ordered fashion items to business sellers through the App. If an order of an item by a business account hasn’t been paid for through the App, it will not be considered a completed order. Furthermore, as all items are sold on a first come first serve basis, Cando can not guarantee that you will get the item you have started, but not finished, ordering. Cando may use a payment service provided by a third-party to handle the payment and will automatically charge your chosen account at the time of your order. You have the right to cancel or change a placed order when using the App. The right and restriction of the right to cancel or change a made order are made available on the app and is based on the nature of the item and business seller.


Payments to private sellers are not provided on the Cando app. For orders to private sellers, the payment and delivery is to be done in accordance to the agreement with the private seller, at your own discretion. 


  • Pickup of the order, redemption and delivery

Upon arrival, you show the Seller the order confirmation in the Application to receive your order. The seller has also the ability to confirm your order in the Cando app for business or through email confirmation from Cando to the seller by identifying you by name. When using the App or Website you shall always pick up the item(s) ordered from the applicable seller’s premises. If you do not collect your order during the given time frame, the merchant has the right to do as they see fit with the ordered item. Unless stated otherwise by the seller, you are entitled to receive a refund for ordered items that have not been collected on time.


  • Home Delivery

In certain cases, delivery can be offered for your order. If delivery is included in an order, the order will be delivered to the address specified by you in the App while completing the signup/registration or during ordering. Deliveries are not handled by Cando (currently). The deliveries will be handled by the seller or seller’s hired delivery partner or Cando’s hired delivery firms. Delivery and delivery time may vary depending on what you order and from where. Please refer to specific delivery information given in the App. You undertake to be available at the delivery address and reachable at the phone number specified by you during registration, sign up or ordering.


  • Loyalty program

With the Cando Loyalty Program you are able to receive personal offers and rewards (collectively “Loyalty Rewards” or “rewards”) based on your previous use of the app and order history. Detailed information about the various Loyalty Rewards and how to get them are presented in the App. Loyalty Rewards and specific requirements for eligibility can vary both by User, city, and country. As a result, you may receive a different Loyalty Reward than another User. The requirements for eligibility and contents of specific Loyalty Rewards are subject to change at Cando’s sole discretion. The Loyalty Rewards may also be subject to limited supply and can be changed at any time without notice. The Loyalty Rewards that you are offered through the App may or may not be transferable and may expire. Loyalty Rewards in the form of Impact points and/or Cando points have no cash value (currently). Loyalty Rewards can only be used by you during the time that they are available to you in the Application. If you have not redeemed a Loyalty Reward during its availability you will not be able to use this Loyalty Reward at a later stage. Cando reserves the right to change, end, or pause, in whole or in part, any Loyalty Program, as well as any User’s ability to participate in any Loyalty Program or receive Loyalty Rewards at any time for any reason, including suspected fraud or any violation of this Agreement. If Cando ends any Loyalty Program, any unused or unredeemed Loyalty Rewards may be forfeited at that time.


  • Fees

Cando does not currently charge its users to access and use the Application or the Website, however Cando may, at any point and in its discretion, elect to begin charging fees for use of various portions of the Application, the Website and/or for different levels of subscription or accounts.


  • Reclamations and service disruption

The Cando service is a networking, advertising and sales channel via which seller’s fashion items are traded. The Cando service is not the provider or the producer of the items listed in the service. Cando is not responsible for the quality of the items ordered through the service or errors that may occur during the pickup of an order. The seller (private & business) is responsible for all the user reclamations concerning the item and Cando directs the reclamations to the seller. The cooperating sellers are committed to preparing the items offered through the service in compliance with the legislation concerning the handling, storing and transportation of fashion items and in accordance with the established principles and practices of the industry. If you detect a technical error or other error in the Cando service, you can report the problem through the Application or Website.


  • Customer support

Cando currently offers support via email that you reach through the Application and on the Website. Please refer to the Website for up to date information on the support center’s opening hours.  


  • Advertisements

Cando does not currently provide any advertisements in the Application and on the Website, however Cando may decide to deliver advertisements in the future.


  • Conditions of Use

    • Certain responsibilities

It is your responsibility to make sure that all information provided by you to Cando is current, accurate, and complete, and that you will maintain the accuracy and completeness of this information going forward. It is also your responsibility to protect your Account information as it should be kept strictly confidential.


  • Certain restrictions

Cando does its best to keep the Application and the Website safe and secure but needs your help to do it by not violating or attempting to violate the security of the Application or the Website. Except as expressly permitted under other parts of this Agreement, you may not modify, reproduce, duplicate, copy, publish or create derivative works of:  


  • any portion of the Website or the Application, any content, photographs, descriptions, software, image or other information or any data taken therefrom (collectively, “User Content” and “Cando Content”).
  • any information or materials retrieved from either of them, which includes graphics and logos, presentations, in whole or in part. Furthermore, you may not use the Website or Application for any purpose that:
    • invades any person’s or entity’s privacy or other rights;
    • misidentifies you or impersonates any person or entity, including, without limitation, any employee or representative of Cando; or
    • could otherwise reasonably be deemed or viewed to be unethical, illegal or offensive.

In addition to the other restrictions outlined in these Terms, you agree that you will not:

  • Use the Services for any purpose that is illegal, beyond the scope of their intended use, or otherwise prohibited in these Terms;
  • Use the Services in any manner that could interfere with, disrupt, negatively affect or inhibit other users from fully enjoying the Services, or that could damage, disable, overburden or impair the functioning of the Services in any manner;
  • Compromise the security of the Services;
  • Send any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, spam, solicitations or promotional materials. Including methods to automatically create User Content and/or in any other way post User Content from channels outside the Services;
  • Access the Service’s API outside the intended use of the Services neither via manual or automatic methods;
  • Use any robot, spider, crawler, scraper or other automated means or interface not provided by us to access the Services or to extract data;
  • Reverse engineer any aspect of the Services or do anything that might discover source code or bypass or circumvent measures employed to prevent or limit access to any area, content or code of the Services;
  • Use or attempt to use another user's account without authorization;
  • Attempt to circumvent any content filtering techniques we employ, or attempt to access areas/features of the Services that you are not authorized to access;
  • Attempt to indicate in any manner that you have a relationship with us or that we have endorsed you or any products or services without our express written consent to do so;
  • Engage in any harassing, intimidating or predatory conduct;
  • Impersonate any person or entity or otherwise misrepresents your affiliation with a person or entity;
  • Violate the publicity, privacy or data protection rights of others, including by taking pictures of another individual without receiving that individual's consent;
  • Infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other intellectual or proprietary right of any party;
  • Buy, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise offer in exchange for any compensation, access to your Cando account, a Cando username without Cando's prior written consent;
  • Develop any third-party applications that interact with User Content or the Services without our prior written consent;
  • Use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose or engage in, encourage, or promote any activity that violates these Terms; and
  • Use the name or profile picture of others.

Cando is an inclusive community platform for all people. We have absolutely no tolerance for objectionable content, abusive behaviour and derogatory comments. We reserve the right to remove content that is deemed objectionable at our sole discretion. We will permanently refuse to offer the Service to Users partaking in abusive behaviour, and/or breaching other elements of these terms. Please know that you will not be eligible to receive any refund for purchased products you are not able to use due to your violation of these terms.


  1. Cando rights

Cando has the right to

  • at any time suspend a user (private and business) or terminate the user’s account and access to the Application and Website
  • Remove any content or product

if the user violates this Agreement or uses the Application and/or Website in a way that is harmful to Cando or any third party.



  1. Terms and Termination of Account


  1. Term

This Agreement shall continue in full force until either: (i) You terminate your Account, or (ii) Cando terminates your access to the Application or non-public portions of the Website, with or without notice (the “Term”). When this Agreement is terminated, you no longer have access to the Application or any other non-public portions of the Website.

  • Termination of account
For purposes of clarity, you are entitled to terminate your Cando account at any time. Choose “Delete account” or any corresponding function in the Application and/or the Website, or contact Cando. Cando will then delete or anonymize any personal information that can be attributed to you, except for certain information that Cando by law may have to save and archive.


  • Other

    • Force Majeure

Cando shall not be liable to you for failure or delay in performing any obligations hereunder if such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

  • Changes or updates of the agreement
Cando may change or update this Agreement from time to time, and any such change or update will be set in effect when posting the updated Agreement on the Website or within the Application. When we make major changes to the Agreement, we will provide you with prior notice as appropriate under the circumstances, e.g., by displaying a notice within the Application, the Website or by sending you an email. If you do not agree to the changed Agreement, you have the right to terminate your Account before the changed Agreement comes into force.
  • Termination of service
Cando reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application and the Website without any notice at any time and without any liability to you.


  • Miscellaneous

All disputes arising hereunder or in connection with this Agreement, the Website and/or the Application shall be resolved by the laws of Sweden and the District Court of Stockholm (sw. Stockholms tingsrätt), Sweden. Cando has the right to transfer its rights and obligations under this Agreement. Furthermore, Cando has the right to hire subcontractors for the fulfillment of its obligations. In such cases is Cando fully responsible for the work performed by the subcontractors. If any part of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable or invalid for any reason, said part will be changed and interpreted to best accomplish its original intent and objectives. Any remaining parts will continue in full force.
